Sometimes hard work produces something fabulous.
By Sri Ahimsa
The Political Bible is a book I am proud to have on my bookshelves. Here are some tidbits to tantalize you.
What did George Smathers deny saying? I'd have been delighted to have been given credit. P. 192.
Which Presidential Candidate appeared on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In? Which one ducked the opportunity? Who won? Who lost? P. 126
Who holds the record for seeking the Republican Presidential Nomination? P. 106.
What Governor issued no pardons during his four year term in office? P.251
If I could send this book back to me when I was in Junior and Senior High School, the classes in history, geography, civics, political theory, and even English language would have become interesting. Real people, sometimes with photos, have been picked to remind us that they were also a part of the history of our country. Mr. Rubino has taken the dried beef jerky we were fed in school and replaced it with a filet mignon, great side dishes, and added several courses to turn that beef jerky into a banquet. He is a chef of history, politics, and humor.

This book needed a fact checker.
By David Ogden
There are many interesting facts in this book but a little fact-checking would have been in order. A few errors I have found include the 'fact' that Barack Obama was named Barry Sorento when he was young. It should have read that Obama was named Soetoro, not Sorento.
Also the book states that Obama wrote 'Dreams of my Fathers', when the actual title is 'Dreams from my Father'. Also Harry S Truman is continuously mis-written as Harry S. Truman. Truman had no middle name, only an 'S' so therefore a period after the S in unnecessary.
