An excellent resource

I have been a Reiki Master/Teacher/Practioner for many years. When I began reading this book I wasn't expecting to learn anything new. I was impressed by the knowledge and delivery of the information given by the authors. Their approach to Reiki differs slightly than mine but I was able to visually connect with their ideas which has enhanced my own practice. The practice and energy of Reiki is difficult to explain in words because it is an energy that has to be experienced and felt to be known. The Authors did an excellent job explaining the history and mechanics of this healing art. I would recommend this book for anybody who is interested in beginning a journey with Reiki and also for those of us who have been on this healing path for a long time.

Deeper Reiki

This is a fascinating book about the philosophy and spirituality of Reiki. The authors take us on a journey through the history, teachings and potential for enlightenment of a dedicated Reiki practice.
The history presented, while not comprehensive, offers insight into what and why of Reiki's evolution. The teaching information is also not comprehensive, focusing in on key aspects of each of the three levels. Not so much a how to book, although there is some of that, it is again more about what and why.
The book shares profound insights gleaned from years of Reiki practice by women obviously dedicated to a Spiritual path. The book feels like a heartfelt offering back to Usui Sensei, and all Reiki students and practitioners who are also on a path of deep wisdom.
Well written and an easy read at 200 pages, I think this is a book to return to over and over, finding new jewels of personal insight each time it is approached.
I would also like to hear more from these authors as we all continue the journey.

A gift to the Reiki Community!

Reiki:The Mystery Teachings is a treasure trove of information. It's not the kind of book you read just once but the kind of book you use as a reference time and time again. What's great about the book is that it truly touches on the essence of Reiki from a deep place of inner knowing that the authors have explored.
The book is well researched. The authors introduce us to many ancient Japanese practices for connecting and moving Ki such as Sei Heki Chiryo Ho and Reiji Ho. Other techniques such as meditation (Hatsurei Ho),breath (Hado) and sound (Kotodama) are also covered. The book contains an in depth look into Reiki history from a pure energy standpoint and the meaning behind the written symbols. It also explores just what happens during and after a Reiki attunement. Rarely do you find a book where written words carry so much penetrating energy.
As a Reiki Master/teacher I am always looking for books to recommend to my students. Reiki: The Mystery Teachings is #1 on my list.
