About the Author
Born in Burlingame, California, David Saccheri spent the majority of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked as an illustrator and conceptual artist in the computer gaming and film industries. He has illustrated books and websites, and has taught digital and fine art both privately and at the college level. After moving to Arizona, David turned his creative energy towards writing and began to put into words the story that had been evolving for more than a decade: that of Heather, the Maidens, and Evermore.

Innovative, refreshing offering to the Fantasy genre

In an attempt to best serve the new reader's experience I will offer only a "surface" review, keeping the characters and other descriptive elements limited for your own discovery. In The Ruins of Evermore: The TimeLight Awakenings, Sacherri has created a multi-faceted adventure with dual, yet parallel worlds. In one world exits fantastically fashioned characters, environments and objects that envelope you in intrigue, suspense and wonder, all the while in the more "reality" based world sits heartily developed characters that will capture your fondness and in some cases, vehemence; twisted agendas notwithstanding. The book is filled with mystery, murder, identity challenges, and a quest for the the good of all in the intolerance of violence and evil. Chapter to chapter, Sacherri weaves you in and out of alternating worlds for a terrifically unexpected ride; sometimes comfortably, and sometimes very intensely, keeping his rhythm poignantly interesting for the sake of his reader. If you find yourself a visually-charged reader, this book will cater to your ability to take a participatory part in the magical elements of The Bristol House (which, by the way, shapes up to be one the most interesting characters), Evermore and the little, seemingly charming town of Noble. This is a carefully woven fantastical mystery with high marks for character molding, a panache for wonderment sprinkled with dashes of gore and psychosis. Be forewarned that this is a two part series, as the first book will leave you with a well-crafted and taunting cliffhanger. The second part in the series serves well and entertainingly to suffice a very unexpected outcome.
