UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

I have loved all the books in this series. I'm a long time soap fan and these books are fun. I like Alex- she's salty and funny and not afraid to throw out a cuss word or take a drink or have sex. The problem I had with this book though was that there were too many unanswered questions. We never find out for sure who killed Randy (two people accuse each other but we never find out who's lying). We never find out WHY he was killed. Was he embezzling? Boinking someone's girlfriend? We never find out. We never find out how Patti the makeup artist is involved in all this. Why is she hiding from the bad guys? Why do they want to kill her? How is she involved? Yes she's a member of the sex-club but it is never established that she had an inside track to the inner-goings on at the club- she just seems to be a member like hundreds of other people. The other problem I had was the editing. Like someone else mentioned there were too many typos. But what was really bad was when we meet a character in the beginning of the book he is described as having long brown hair. But after another meeting with this same character, Alex describes him to someone as "gray/blonde hair and pale eyes". Then near the end of the book when she sees him again he has long dark hair again. Was he between dye-jobs when she saw him the second time? This is simply sloppy editing and not the author's fault. So I will definately read the next book in this series but I hope Ms Davidson can get a better editor next time

I have read the book Swinging in the rain and loved it, I've also read her other 3 books and loved them. Please continue to write more, because I will purchase them also. Thank you

Disappointing....

I have read the others in this series and this one was by far the worst. The reasons are simple for me. First of all, go back to the regular format because the price was too high for 169 pages. Second, the story was good overall but very predictable to me and I had it figured out before the last 40 pages. My biggest complaint was the fact that whoever edited this book needs to find a new job. The typos and misspelled words were ridiculous, especially in the last few chapters. I just couldn't get over it. This took away from the writing and the story. I like her writing and her descriptions and I will say that I LOVED the fact that she took digs at the soap industry for cancelling so many real life soap operas and replacing them with idiotic shows. I hope that she continues this series because I will read it but please, make it longer and get a new editor because it really made the end of the book just terrible.
