Noah Charney, twenty-seven years old, holds degrees in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art and Cambridge University. He is the founding director of the Association for Research into Crimes against Art (ARCA), the first international think tank on art crime. He divides his time between New Haven, Connecticut; Cambridge, England; and Rome, Italy.

Great Read on the Most Famous Painting And it's Theft

This was a fascinating read, sharing cultural and historical perspective on the Mona Lisa it's theft as well as the characters surrounding the art scene in Paris. Well worth the time as it is well researched, fast paced and enjoyable read. I love a book that gives me three or four more books to read, this has whetted my reading appetite.

Loved it! I just came back from Paris and did nto learn about the theft f the Mona Lisa until I returned so I really wanted to read about it. I only wish I'd have known before I went, I'm sure I would have enjoyed the painting much more had I'd heard the story before going there.
