One of the most informative and gripping books I have ever read. The raw honesty was some of the best I have ever read. The poetry was deep and cut right to the bone. I learned so much from this book, about the addict, addiction and how individuals recover in so many different ways. Thank you!! I cannot wait to read the next one.

Extremely Well-Written, Heart-Opening, Healing and Fun

As a retired English teacher, and published author, I love, love, love, extremely well-written books. Teach Me How To Love is in that category, an instant classic. Like Tuesday's with Morrie, it conveyed powerful life wisdom and mentoring through a heart-stirring memoir. Like The Celestine Prophecy, it shared metaphysical and spiritual lessons in the most entertaining way possible - through telling a great story. Like Eat Pray Love, except this time through a man's perspective, Teach Me How To Love took me on a great journey, not to Italy, India, and Bali, but to the depths of love inside myself. Scott's vulnerability and honesty, in perfect balance with his wit and humor, made the book impossible to put down for me. It is rare that a man is willing to filet himself open and let his inner world be widely known and learned from. Rarer still, is the entertainment value right in the midst of him being so transparent and authentic. There were many times I was laughing so much I had to stop reading and catch my breath. There is not a person in my life and on this earth that I would not recommend this book to!

A Total Delight From Start to Finish

Teach Me How to Love was a total delight from start to finish.

My only regret was that it wasn't twice as long - honestly. I hope this is the first of many books written by Scott Kalechstein Grace. His writing is a rare find, combining vulnerability and depth with great humor and joy. Scott shares his love of life so generously, it's impossible for it not to rub off on you.

I think you'll love this book, and, if you're anything like me, you'll put it down and feel inspired to get busy loving.

Teach Me How To Love is storytelling at it's finest. The fact that the story is true, real, gripping and hilariously funny makes this book a rare treat. We all are fumbling beginners when it comes to love, and Scott's ability to teach without teaching, to share and inspire rather than preach and teach, is a very powerful and penetrating approach. He makes it safe, joyous, and exciting to learn. It's a precious book, one that not only uplifts, but can actually generate an emotional shift, a leap into new possibilities for the reader. I don't think there is anyone - atheist, agnostic, Christian, Buddhist, New Ager, New Thought, etc, who would not benefit from Teach Me How To Love.

Love encompasses all religions and no religion, and so does this book!

Practical advice on progressive messaging

This book is awesome for progressives who want to implement the views of George Lakoff (the Don't Think of an Elephant guy.) It contains concrete metaphors related to today's issues. The author also talks about the importance of speaking American, meaning invoking cherished American stories about who we are as a people. Our country is drowning in propaganda, and progressives need to use language to espouse our truths and values. This book is an important tool.

About the Author
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Teresa Reasor was born in Southeastern Kentucky, but grew up a Marine Corps brat. The love of reading instilled in her in Kindergarten at Parris Island, South Carolina made books her friends during the many transfers her father's military career entailed. The transition from reading to writing came easily to her and she penned her first book in second grade. But it wasn't until 2007 that her first published work was released.

Great mix of suspense and romance!

This is probably the best researched and most realistic thriller involving Special Forces personnel that I have read. The characters, their relationship's and the situations they find themselves in are all too real. As well as great suspense and a plot that keeps you interested, the main focus is on the bitter-sweet romance between Zoe and Adam that again manages to retain realism. The suspense is built up slowly to a great climax and I couldn't put this down. Definitely one I would recommend and I think that there is just about enough action and appeal in `Hawk's' character to keep the male contingent happy.

Lieutenant Adam Yazzie is the commanding officer of a SEAL unit and hasn't ever lost a member of his team during a mission. However, this personal record has been endangered during the last operation, when one of his team mates was severely wounded and left to die. He tried to rescue his friend and is also injured during this endeavor. Back home he tries to support his team mate who is in a coma and he meets the ensign's younger sister who is determined to save her brother. Feelings start to develop between Lieutenant Yazzie and Zoe Weaver, however, both of them have to struggle with serious emotional and physical problems. Will their love prevail?

Finally an intelligent military romance. What do I mean? There are very little battle and war scenes. The main part of the book is devoted to the developing romance between the two main characters, who both face their own daemons: Adam is devoted to his special job and knows very well that this is a tremendous restraint to a possible relationship. On the other hand, Zoe is physically handicapped and tries very hard to overcome her own burden. The author has managed in a very persuasive and emotional way to depict the struggles and fears of these two people, which resulted in a very gripping love story. However one or two details of the plot remain unexplained, which left me just a little bit unsatisfied.

All in all a very entertaining book of the genre with a very gripping love story.

What a phenomenal book!!! I've read Mrs. Reasor's historical novels and loved them, so I knew I would love this one too. I wasn't disappointed.
I've never read a book that delved so in depth to Navy SEAL life. It was obvious that the author did her research and enjoyed the subject.
There are several characters to follow and I really hope every one of the men gets his own story. They were all personable, and 'real'. The suspense kept you guessing to the very end of the book.
I can't say enough good things about this book. Just check it out.
